1.4.1 RENEWABLE ENERGY CREATION
PARTNERS: Hanish Mamidala, Sebastian Ingles, and Andrew McDaniel
SUMMARY:
In this activity my team had to design a renewable electrical energy generation/distribution system that harnesses wind, solar power, and fuel energy. This circuit needed to effectively recreate catering to the needs of residential and industrial facilities, in which effectiveness was rated by the ability to successfully satisfy industrial and residential consumers. A successful demonstration would simulate a 24-hour hour electrical energy demand cycle.

Allowable electrical energy generation devices:
-
(2) solar cells (teacher-provided)
-
(2) fuel cells (teacher-provided)
-
Turbine(s) (student-created

REFLECTION:
Learning:
This assignment was very eye-opening for me in applying my knowledge of breadboards and circuits. This project made me draw on my understanding of circuits as well as using my creative mindset to produce a working and efficient product. This project also helped my revamp my work ethic in a group - how to effectively put the talents of my partners to best use to allow us to get a result that we would be proud of. This project definitely taught me how valuable time is - every single day was a time crunch to get the project or some aspect of it done.
Improvements:
I believe the greatest area for me to improve on is my time management. Considering the rather tedious nature of the project, I should have determined what the project was asking to accomplish earlier so the other workdays my group would have worked and produced some results. Additionally, perhaps inquiring for more details about the final result of our project may have resulted in a greater efficient production.
