INTRODUCTION TO ENGINEERING

COURSE SUMMARY

Introduction to Engineering is a course where students are exposed to the fundamentals of engineering: the design process, ​research and analysis, interpersonal skills in team work, and technical documentation. Students learn how to document their work in an engineering notebook - in a manner that is neat, accurate, legible, and thorough - with the aim of allowing virtually anybody else to take over their work and communicating designs with others. Students also work with Autodesk Inventor, a state-of-the-art 3D modeling software, in designing potential solutions to the problems they are tasked with solving.
