AIRCRAFT ENGINES TYPE REPORT

SUMMARY:

The goal of this assignment was to aid us in developing an understanding of the various types of propulsion systems aircraft use, with a specific focus on the variants of turbine jet engines, in regards to functionality and differences between the types, as well as a focus on a specific engine.  

REFLECTION:

Learning:

I definitely enjoyed learning a lot more about aircraft engines and their differences. Since I am more interested in the astronautical side of aerospace engineering, I haven't really looked into aircraft propulsion systems in detail, so it was a good opportunity for me to learn more about certain concepts outside of my first and foremost interests in aerospace engineering.

Improvements:

I really did not produce a report that I can really take pride in as I usually do, and this was largely because of a stressful series of tests, projects, and extracurriculars that coincided at the time period around which the report was due. If I had taken better measures to account for my time when working with the major academic events during that time period, perhaps I could have also made a smaller assignment like this more of a success. Going forward, I need to reorganize my priorities and how much time I invest into all of them so that I do not have to sacrifice any of my time for any particular activities. ​
