SPACE LAW PRESENTATION

SUMMARY:

The goal of this assignment was for us students to research and compile our learnings of a specific space law topic that has been reviewed by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), as well as establish a basis for our learning about space law. In regards to the specific space law we had to present about, we had to talk about the span of dates over which it was developed, the countries and companies that held stakes in the development of the space law, the major influences of the decision, as well as potential outcomes if space law (in general) did not exist.​

REFLECTION:

Learning:

I've always known that space is the final frontier for a variety of reasons, but learning of space law was particularly interesting for me. To specify, space law's primary purpose is to ensure that space is developed for the good of mankind. It must be carefully detailed so that space is protected from greed and its development is carefully coordinated between world powers through a series of agreements and to resolve disputes. ​

Improvements:

I think that definitely my presentation held a bit too much information on it to effectively transmit knowledge to those using it as an informational source. By cutting out unnecessary information and by organizing essential information in a manner that is simple to read, I feel that I can greatly improve how engaging my presentation is to a variety of individuals. While due to the COVID-19 pandemic we did not have the chance to officially present, I know for a fact that my preparation in regards to presenting in front of my class and teacher would need a lot more work to be effective.
