Today’s entry will be shorter than usual as I have a lot on my plate to do! Now that we are at the start line for the final product, there is a lot to be thinking about, especially in regards to the planning of the technical aspects. As an aspiring engineer, I know that planning is indispensable to carrying out a large operation or successfully completing a major project, which is why I am proud to say that Daniel and I have already taken the time to talk about what I should consider prior to starting on my final product. Although my final product is very ambitious, I feel determined to pour my heart into it so that it results in something that I can take pride in. Going a bit off-topic, as we have returned to the regular weekly assessment submissions, I realized how glad I was that I procrastinated for once. Considering that time management was a thorn in my side as I was working on my original work, I don’t think I would ever say that I was thankful for one of my greatest flaws. However, not typing up the interview assessments right after I had the research interviews has proved to be a surprising asset for me at this time. Thanks to my resourcefulness, I made sure to get the consent of every interviewee prior to recording every research interview I have conducted thus far, which has allowed me to take a different look at some of the information and advice my interviewees offered me a period of time after I actually had the research interviews. As I am working on my final product, I know for sure that their advice will benefit me. Going back to the matter of my final product, other than the various academic goals I have set for myself in the completion of my project, I hope to reform my time management skills so that they don’t hinder me from enjoying the pursuit of my passion for aerospace engineering later on in my career.
