Sorry, I was actually kidding. I just had a few more notes to add before wrapping up this year in ISM. After researching the broad field of aerospace engineering, I found that I had interests primarily in the subdisciplines of structural analysis and spacecraft design, as well as electric propulsion and artificial intelligence’s role in spacecraft navigation. With my mentor’s help, I was able to explore what those interests meant to me and if they were something I would like to pursue in the future (which they are). Although the ‘official’ mentorship for the Independent Study and Mentorship program is over, Daniel told me he is willing to help me with whatever I need virtually whenever I need it, which is immensely helpful. I surely will continue expanding my network of professionals on LinkedIn and using the time I have in the summer between the end of this school year and the start of my college career to learn as much as I can about bending the educational system to my will. Now that I will be seeking to major in aerospace engineering at Texas A&M for my bachelor’s degree, I think there will be several opportunities for me to take advantage of and develop my skills and knowledge of my particular interests, and I can’t wait to see where I go.
