I prefer to target my blogs towards my weekly work in the Independent Study and Mentorship program, but I will start this blog a bit off-topic, since this matter affected my ability to get work done on my final product. Frisco experienced record-breaking amounts of snow this past week, which adversely affected the electric grid in the area as well as froze over some of the essential water pipes. As a result, I was largely unable to make headway on the development of my final product for an entire week, disrupting my creation schedule. Daniel already informed me that my schedule for the construction of my final product was very tight, but now that I am a week down on time, I have to pick up the pace if I want to produce something I can present as the culmination of my experience in the ISM program. After struggling to plan how to even remotely start working on my final product, I made some progress. I have been researching launch and entry vehicles as a starting point for my final product, and have a few concepts from which to begin with. Since I am in the initial design phase of my planned schedule for the final product construction, I think the next step will be prepping the initial frames that I feel are optimal to serve as the basis for my project. This entry is much shorter than usual because there is no time to be mucking about; back to work for me!
